I have now settled back to life in Wellington, as a new resident of New Zealand, which although doesn't preclude me from working back in London and the EU does commit me to spending at least half of the next two years in the Southern Hemisphere. Originally employed to assist in the setting up of the 'Gilderfluke Performance Control System' but subsequently sidesteping into the mechanical department to assist with: armature making, MIG welding, design and construction of rudimentary frames and later construction of the rear legs of Aragog (Hagrid's overgrown pet spider), fabrication of all background spiders and the installation of the pallet of the Basilisk and puppeteering features of both characters.
After this shot I assisted with construction of the performance controls for the Fawkes (Phoenix) character, and finally the metal fabrication and installation and dressing of the Venemous Tentacular vines that decorated the conservartory set forming Prof. Sprout's classroom.
